HBOT

Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy

The healing power of Oxygen.

The regenerative powers of oxygen has been embraced through Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT) to support longevity, treatment of injuries and wounds, neurodegenerative disorders and boost overall wellness.

What Is HBOT?

Hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBOT) is an advanced yet simple treatment where the atmospheric pressure is increased inside a chamber and the patient breathes 100% medical-grade oxygen.

By breathing pure oxygen under increased pressure, up to 20X more oxygen travels through the bloodstream to the brain, organs and tissues, fueling mitochondria to boost cellular energy to restore and build new cells.

How Does HBOT Help?

Neurological

The increased oxygen to the brain can support recovery of brain function and improve cognitive abilities. HBOT has shown promise in treating neurological conditions such as TBI, Stroke, as well as neurodegenerative disorders such as Parkinsons and Dementia.

Reduce Chronic Inflammation

Chronic inflammation is a common underlying factor in many diseases. HBOT’s anti-inflammatory effects help manage and reduce chronic inflammation — supporting long-term health.

Cellular Function

Enhanced oxygen availability at the cellular level improves the function of all body cells, fueling mitochondria to produce an abundance of ATP (cellular energy) to support overall health and vitality.

Healing & Recovery

HBOT accelerates the healing process. It supports tissue repair, reduces scarring, and improves recovery outcomes. It is proven effective for a number of different medical and surgical conditions either as a primary treatment or in addition to other medical treatments.

Immune System

HBOT can strengthen the immune system by promoting the production and function of white blood cells. This can enhance the body’s ability to fight infections and recover from illnesses.

Musculoskeletal

Athletes and individuals with musculoskeletal injuries can benefit from HBOT through faster recovery times, reduced pain, and decreased swelling, supporting healing of bones, muscles, and joints.

Skin Health

HBOT has been linked to anti-aging benefits, including improved skin health, reduced appearance of wrinkles, and overall enhanced vitality. HBOT's ability to lengthen telomeres is a key factor in its longevity effects.

Brain Health & Recovery

HBOT facilitates brain health and recovery through the following targeted mechanisms: Enhances oxygen supply, reduces neuroinflammation, promotes neuroplasticity, improves mitochondrial function, and stimulates the body's natural release of stem cells.

For these reasons, HBOT is utilized to assist with conditions such as traumatic brain injury (TBI), stroke, post-concussion syndrome, and cognitive decline.

The Four Pillars of Brain Restoration

Brain Oxygenation is the second pillar of Brain Restoration. Hyperbaric oxygen therapy gives your brain the oxygen it needs to heal. Concentrated oxygen reaches brain regions that may be underperforming due to reduced blood flow.

The HBOT Experience

Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy can offer more than just treat injuries and disorders. Because of the regenerative powers of oxygen for cellular function, HBOT has the possibility of providing a powerful boost for overall wellness, potentially increase longevity, and reverse the biological markers of aging.

What Conditions Are Treatable with HBOT?

While HBOT is FDA-approved for several conditions, it has also shown positive results for many others conditions. We provide physician-led HBOT treatment for a variety of research-supported, non-FDA approved conditions—especially those related to neurological health, inflammation, and injury recovery.

  • Brain Injuries (TBI)
  • Neurological disorders and degenerative diseases
  • Tissue damage from radiation treatments*
  • Surgery Recovery
  • Post-COVID Recovery (Long COVID or Long-Hauler Syndrome)
  • Sports-related Injuries
  • Chronic Pain and Inflammation
  • Stroke Recovery
  • Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD) like Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis
  • Diabetic Foot Ulcers*
  • Thermal Burns*
  • Skin Grafts or Flaps healing poorly*
  • Bone Infections* like osteomyelitis

*FDA-approved protocols exist for these conditions.

How Safe Is HBOT?

HBOT is a safe alternative to many medical options available to patients today. Some patients have experienced some mild ear pressure discomfort similar to the pressure felt when ascending or descending in an airplane. We can help you adjust should you have a similar experience.

Our clinic provides a comfortable soft shell chamber with mild to high pressure depending on the needs of our patients.

Can I Get The Same Effects From An Oxygen Bar?

No. The pressure plays the most critical role in the effective dosage of HBOT. The pressurized environment allows you to breathe in up to 20x more oxygen and dissolves in to the blood plasma. The oxygen can then travel into areas of the body where oxygen levels have been limited — energizing the mitochondria to repair and build new cells.

How Can Children Benefit From HBOT?

Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy has shown promising results in treating children and teenagers with sports-related injuries. HBOT aims to promote faster healing, reduce inflammation and muscle soreness, and enhance endurance and strength. It's a simple and safe process administered and overseen by our medical team. How Long Do Sessions Need To Be?

Most research studies typically use 60 – 90 minute sessions resulting in positive benefits. However, shorter duration sessions are showing positive results as well. Ultimately it depends on the age of the patient and severity of the condition.

Can You Overdose On Oxygen?

As with any medication or procedure — yes. “Oxygen toxicity” can effect the central nervous system and/or the lungs. The main 2 variables leading to oxygen toxicity are pressure and time. Our medical staff is trained and certified to limit this risk by monitoring dosages, pressure and the length of the session. We will be glad to answer any questions you have.
